Michael Phelps’ Feast Day….Every Day.
Monday, August 18th, 2008
I can hear you now, “James, you’re telling me I’ve got to eat right every day, three meals a day, at the same time every day?? And I can only really throw down once a week for lunch on Sunday!??”
Yes…Unless you spend 5 hours a day in a swimming pool, then you can pretty much do whatever you want. At least, that seems to be the case for Michael Phelps.
Phelps reportedly downs a whopping 12,000 calories a day which includes (among many other things) three fried egg sandwiches for breakfast, a pound of pasta for lunch, and a pound of pasta for dinner with a large pizza to wash it down for desert.
But, like I said, until you’re burning 1,000 calories per hour training for the Olympics, you’ll have to limit your championship eating to once a week.
However, the next time you’re diving into your 6th slice of pizza or your second wet burrito during the Sunday Feast think of Michael Phelps and realize that you are a true patriot–God Bless America.
